Since it was founded in 1966 under the name Architecture-Mouvement-Continuité, AMC has established itself as a reference for architects, major public and private clients, design offices and architecture students.
AMC’s mission is to cover the latest in architecture, interior architecture, design and urban planning from every angle: aesthetic, technical, societal and historical. In other words, it is a generalist magazine for the design of the living environment. The magazine aims to be both utilitarian and cultural. It offers readers highly detailed building plans and construction details, as well as features on new products and materials, and analyses of major social debates such as the ecological transition, changes in working and living patterns, greening and urban nature, etc.
AMC stands out for its high-quality features :
- The Achievements section offers a monthly in-depth study of 4 buildings from every angle, with plenty of photos and plans.
- The Feature section looks at major social issues such as the conversion of offices into housing, co-living, urban biodiversity, brownfield sites, bio- and geo-sourced materials, etc.
- The Details section, presents detailed construction plans on a specific theme: glass roofs, earth façades, balconies and loggias, roofs, etc.
- The Reference section offers a look back at an emblematic building constructed in the 20th century.
- The Matériauthèque section looks at a family of materials or their properties.
AMC is published monthly, with 10 issues a year, including an Annual of the 100 Buildings of the Year and a themed special issue. It is accompanied by a website (amc-archi.com) with new articles every day and two newsletters every week.
With its comprehensive and varied approach to architecture, AMC is an essential reference for all professionals and enthusiasts in the sector.
