For the 2023 edition of the Prix de l’Équerre d’Argent, scheduled for 20 November 2023, AMC, the benchmark media brand for architecture, is mobilising its teams and preparing an exceptional editorial campaign.
Once upon a time… the Équerre d’Argent!
Often compared to the Prix Goncourt, the Équerre d’Argent prize is undoubtedly the most prestigious accolade for architecture in France.
Created in 1960 by Paul-Marcel Durand-Souffland, the prize was taken up again in 1983 by Dominique Boudet, editor-in-chief of the magazine Le Moniteur des travaux publics et du bâtiment, after a ten-year hiatus.
Since 1991, the lucky winners have received a beautiful bronze sculpture by Bruno Romeda, who has become an icon in the profession with his famous circle, square and triangle. The winners also benefit from national media coverage.
Prix de l’Équerre d’Argent: the 41st edition will take place on 20 November 2023
This annual ceremony, sponsored by the magazine Le Moniteur des travaux publics et du bâtiment and the Infopro Digital group’s AMC Architecture title, honours teams made up of clients and contractors who have contributed to the construction of outstanding buildings in France.
Some 250 architectural dazzlers are presented to a jury of architects, architecture critics and developers to crown the winners in 6 categories:
- Housing;
- Culture, youth and sport ;
- Places of activity ;
- Public spaces and landscaping ;
- First work ;
- L’Équerre d’Argent.
The 41st edition will take place on 20 November 2023 and will be hosted by Gilles Davoine, editor-in-chief of AMC Media, and Fabien Renou, editor-in-chief of Le Moniteur. Entries are due to open in April 2023.
