In 2022, the Gazette des Communes, the benchmark media brand for the local authority civil service within the Infopro Digital group, created the Club des décideurs public – privé, a unique meeting place for the Directors-General of Services (DGSs) of major local authorities and business leaders. The aim is to stimulate synergies between the public and private sectors and to co-construct the urban development strategies of tomorrow.
Club des décideurs public – privé: a rich programme throughout the year
The Club des décideurs public – privé is the leading national forum for discussion, reflection and influence between senior executives from the public and private sectors. It brings together the CEOs of France’s largest local authorities (metropolises, towns with more than 80,000 inhabitants and départements with more than one million inhabitants) on the one hand, and CEOs and MDs from the private sector on the other, to engage in in-depth reflection on issues of general interest (mobility, ecological transition, energy, digital, construction, manufacturing, management, health, etc.).
Created and run by the editorial staff of La Gazette des Communes, the Club des décideurs public – privé offers a rich program of events throughout the year, coupled with unlimited access to a wealth of documentary resources (La Gazette des Communes press reviews, certified partner studies, the event’s white paper, etc.).

Hosted by the editorial team of La Gazette des Communes and Giuseppe Bettoni, scientific director of the event and professor of political geography at Tor Vergata University in Rome, the Club des décideurs public – privé offers an exclusive programme throughout the year, supported by :
- A face-to-face meeting in June with a themed programme of plenary lectures, round tables, collaborative workshops, exclusive testimonials from French and international experts and networking opportunities ;
- 6 videoconference workshops led by experts to analyse a topical issue for one hour and open a window of opportunity for public and private sector leaders to exchange and share ideas.
On 13 January 2023, a workshop has already been organised on the theme of “What mobility for the post-transition citizen?” Moderated by Giuseppe Bettoni, with Sophie Castagné (Director of Institutional Relations, RATP DEV).
A second workshop was held on 10 February 2023, this time on the theme of “What public services for an ageing population”, with presentations by Laurent Besozzi (Vice-President of the MNT), Dr Omar Beloucif (Medical Director, La Poste Santé et Autonomie) and Guillaume Bachelay (Director of Institutional Relations, JCDecaux).
