The Women in Manufacturing Awards returns in 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

L’Usine Nouvelle, the Infopro Digital group’s leading economic and industrial information brand, is reiterating its commitment to parity in the manufacturing sector and is organising the 2023 edition of the Troph\u00e9es des Femmes de l’Industrie (Women in Manufacturing Awards).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In France, women account for less than 30% of manufacturing employees\u2026 a figure that has stagnated for more than a decade. Quite apart from this aberration, the majority of women working in the sector are still in support roles, far removed from design and production, and above all from management positions (barely 15% of executive committees).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was this alarming finding that led to the creation of the Conseil de la mixit\u00e9 et de l’\u00e9galit\u00e9 professionnelle dans l’industrie (CMEPI), within the Conseil national de l’industrie (CNI). The aim<\/strong> is to work towards increasing the representation of women in manufacturing and facilitating their access to positions of responsibility, as well as to operational and R&D positions where they are statistically underrepresented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To meet this major challenge, which is part of the government’s ambition for a “reindustrialisation shock”<\/a> at the end of 2019 CMEPI presented an action plan based on the three pillars of education, guidance and career management, “and called on all the women and men in manufacturing to take part in its implementation “reads the Ministry’s press release<\/a>. To boost this momentum, the Ministry has also launched the Grand D\u00e9fi IndustriElles. The aim<\/strong> is to build up a group of a thousand women involved in implementing the action plan within a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2023 Women in Manufacturing Awards: rewarding women who have excelled in a sector far from parity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Highlighting the inspiring careers and exemplary achievements of women in manufacturing. This is the ambitious challenge that the editors of l’Usine Nouvelle take up every year with the Troph\u00e9es des Femmes de l’Industrie – #IndustriElles, a unique event that is fully in line with the objectives of CMEPI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than just an awards evening, this not-to-be-missed event is an opportunity to shine the spotlight on the human stories, success stories and remarkable talents who have shone in a buoyant sector that is still a long way from achieving parity between men and women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this 2023 edition<\/a>, a committee of experts will first meet to nominate three candidates in each category. The Usine Nouvelle editorial team will then draw up portraits of the shortlisted women and publish them in print and online. The jury will then meet to award the thematic awards and the Woman of the Year prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
